Merryn Kathryn Landry, (born on March 22, 1982) is an American/Australian actress, comedian, and writer. Landry was born in Rome, Italy and grew up travelling around the world with her family spending most of her childhood in South East Asia, where she finally moved to the U.S. in 1995. Landry spent her high school and college years in Ohio, after she finished her bachelor’s degree from Kent State University and she moved to Los Angeles to become an actor and comedian. Landry has been a part of the Upright Citizens Brigade for two years, you can see her in sketches online, and in the film Actor/Writer. She currently performs with her indy improv team Ground Control.

 

Landry attended Kent State University, at which she majored in Television production and marketing. Relocating to Los Angeles, to do some much soul searching, and purse her acting ambitions. Landry is an alumna of the Upright Citizens Brigade, and improvisational and sketch comedy troupe based in Los Angeles, California.

 

Landry attributes most of her comedic influences to watching countless hours of Monty Python as a child as well as A Fish Called Wanda reputedly for centuries. Bill Murray, Whoopi Goldberg, Robin Williams, Chris Rock, and Ellen DeGeneres are also among her favorite comedians and actors.
